World Heritage Bamberg

The city of Bamberg has not been nominated World Heritage by the UNESCO for no reason at all, especially since the World Heritage covers the whole of the old city centre.The historic townscape of Bamberg offers a very special atmosphere. The town planning of the historic districts of Bamberg sets it on a par with Europes finest ancient monuments and pieces of art. With a huge ceremony the City of Bamberg celebrated its 1000th diocese anniversary in July 2007.
